Esperance Historic Homesteads Documentary Series

Over the past few years, I've been fortunate enough to work with Jennene Riggs of Riggs Australia on the Esperance Historic Homesteads Documentary Series. This series of seven short documentary films captures some of the fascinating history of our region, exploring these iconic, beautiful, and historically significant homesteads. Working as the researcher and writer on this project was fascinating and rewarding. Jennene directed and produced the documentaries, which feature stunning footage from the remote and isolated homesteads, as well as historic photographs and interviews with a range of people who have connections to these places.

The Esperance Historic Homesteads Documentary Series is available to watch on YouTube on the Riggs Australia YouTube channel, or by clicking the link below.

This series was made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, project partners The Mount Burdett Foundation, as well as the Heritage Council of Western Australia, the Shire of Esperance, and the Rotary Club of Esperance Bay.
